The Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee welcomes Sister Gabriela Perez, Sister Nilda Lizeth Garcia Moreno, and Sister Maria Aracely Guzman Castro of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The sisters are scheduled to arrive from Mexico and Guatemala the first week of November. We are blessed and honored that the sisters will make Tallahassee their home for the next five years.
During their time in the diocese, the sisters will be working with St. Eugene Catholic Mission and Student Center and St. Thomas the Apostle in Quincy. They will work specifically with the Hispanic Community focusing on faith formation, youth ministry and family. We are grateful to Catholic Extension for awarding us a grant to help pay the salary for the sisters.
However, the grant does not cover all of their expenses. The diocese will need to cover some of their living expanses. You can help by making a contribution to the Missionary Sisters Fund. Just click this link.
Please keep the sisters in your prayers as they prepare to start their ministry in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee.
