Meritain, an Aetna Company, continues to be our exclusive medical healthcare provider for the 2023-2024 benefits year. The Diocese offers employees two medical plans which are open access and do not require you to select a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or obtain a referral to seek care from contracted specialists. The Diocese continues to offer to its employees a Dental PPO plan through Delta Dental during the 2023-2024 Plan Year. The PPO plan provides both in and out of network coverage. However, you will receive the maximum level of benefits when you use a preferred dentist. VSP will continue to be our Voluntary Vision carrier for the 2022-2023 Plan Year. The vision plan provides both innetwork and out-of-network benefits. However, you will receive maximum benefits when you use a provider within the network. In order to participate in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee's 401K plan, you must be employed for 3 months and worked at least 250 hours. Enrollment takes place 1/1 and 7/1.

The Medicare Part D notice prescription drug coverage provides notice that open enrollment for Medicare Part D begins October 15th through December 7th. It also states that the Diocese provides a medical plan that on average pays out at least as much as Medicare Part D therefore the Diocesan plan provides enrolled employees credible coverage.CVS/Caremark Prescription Drugs
NEW in 2023 we are now using the CVS/Caremark Prescription drug program. Use CVS pharmacies and their in-network affiliates for the greatest discounts on your prescriptions. For Specialty Drug Assistance you will use CVS/Caremark and/or Prudent Rx and can contact their Customer Care unit at 1-888-769-9030 with any questions you may have.

This site provides coupons and discounts on prescription drugs. You do not have to be on the Diocesan Plan to take advantage of these discounts. You don’t even need to register and there are no obligations.
Benefit-eligible new employees have a waiting period before benefits may begin.
The waiting period: There is a 30-day waiting period after full time employment begins before you will be eligible to enroll in a Healthcare plan. Benefits would begin the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
Additional Life Insurance:
If you and/or your spouse want Supplemental (voluntary) life insurance coverage above the $180,000 guarantee issue amount for employee coverage and/or above $50,000 guarantee issue amount for a spouse, you must fill out the Mutual of Omaha Evidence of Insurability(EOI) form, print it and mail it to Mutual of Omaha at the following address:
