John is a certified financial planner with 25 years experience in development and finance. He has organized successful development projects all over the United States and has been the director of development in our diocese since 2000. He lives in Destin with his wife, youngest son, and jingle and bells, two cats he rescued from the streets near the Pastoral Center.

Donnie Plombon
Parish Coordinator
Donnie retired from active naval service on July 1, 2007 at the rank of Captain after serving over 24 years as a naval aerospace physiologist. He is an active member of Holy Spirit Parish, currently serving on Pastoral Council. He is married and has two sons, ages 20 and 17.

Br. Kenan Kapina, OSB
Parish Coordinator
Br. Kenan is a Benedictine monk of St. Meinrad Archabbey who is working in service to our diocese. Br. Kenan entered the monastery in 1974 and worked in a variety of capacities, including 20 years in the business/development office. As a monk, his role is to help spread the Gospel and to make a difference in the lives of the people he meets through the use of his talents, gifts and abilities.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Robert worked in the financial services industry before coming to the diocese. He and his family are active members of St. Michael’s parish, where he is the youth director.

Kellie Swort
Administrative Assistant
Kellie comes to the diocese with extensive experience as a paralegal and she brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and cheer to the office. She is a recent convert to the faith and is an active member with her children at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
